Water-proof hearing aids

Water-proof hearing aids are available at Chear

There are two different models of water-proof hearing on the market. The one we have found to be most reliable is the Rionet HB-54 hearing aid which is a full-sized hearing aid, about the same size as a Super Front hearing aid.

It is a traditional analogue hearing aid with linear amplification, rather than a signal-processing or digital hearing aid.

The hearing aid can be used for swimming, baths, paddling and water play as specified on the information sheet.

It can be used with coloured Supaseals so that it is distinctive from your child’s normal hearing aids.

The cost of the HB 54 hearing aid is £ 490 per device.

Many parents prefer to order a single hearing aid, for use on their child’s best hearing ear. We would need you to send a copy of your child’s recent audiogram so that the hearing aid can be set correctly for him or her.

A hearing aid can be loaned for 6 week trial, to see whether your child likes the hearing aid. The cost of a 6 week loan period is £90. This can be arranged to cover a time when you are on holiday, or at Centre Parks, or doing other swimming activities, if required. If you decide you would like to buy the hearing aid, the cost of the loan period is deducted from the cost.
